Staff Veterinarian, ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH)

The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) provides life-saving care and relieves suffering for animal victims of cruelty and neglect who come to us through our internal partners: ASPCA Adoption Center, Kitten Nursery, Community Medicine, and Community Engagement teams; and through our external partners: NYPD and other NYC organizations. Additionally, we provide subsidized care exclusively for animals whose owners are experiencing financial hardship and would not otherwise afford veterinary care.
We are staffed by one full time board-certified internist, one full time board-certified surgeon, 10 general practitioners, 6 veterinary interns and one fellow.

Our ICU provides 24-hour care with a nursing staff of licensed veterinary technicians and hospital veterinary assistants. AAH has a variety of diagnostic and treatment capabilities including but not limited to: endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiography, orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery, I-STAT in-house blood chemistry analyzer, in-house coagulation testing, capnography, pulse oximetry, and EKG.

The Staff Veterinarian will rotate through different services at AAH and the Animal Recovery Center (ARC) to fit operational needs. Our veterinarians currently rotate daily through in-house care of Adoption patients, surgery, treatment, dentistry, and emergency appointments.

This is a 4 day schedule/10 hour days and includes one weekend day
